The Jefferson City Council will meet tomorrow night.
The Council will consider for approval a memorandum of understanding with American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) that would make a one time salary adjustment for the police department union employees of 2.75-percent and three-percent for all other union workers under contract. It would also limit any wage increase to three-percent in the final two years of the labor contract. The Council will also consider for approval an additional two-percent wage increase above the budgeted amount of four-percent for non-union municipal employees.
Additionally, the Council will consider approving a resolution for an amendment to the city administrator contract and the third reading to amend two ordinances regarding impounding and microchipping of dogs, along with a service fee for large structure fires that the volunteer fire department responds to.
The meeting will be at 5:30pm in the City Hall Council Chambers.
