Iowa Auditor Rob Sand has released the 2021 Fiscal Year Audit Report for the City of Perry which shows an increase in both receipts and disbursements.
According to the report, the City’s receipts for the 2021 fiscal year totaled $17,104,714, which was a 47.2-percent increase over the previous year. Also, the City’s disbursements were $15,098,693, which was a 10.7-percent increase over the previous year.
The report shows that the increase in the receipts was mainly due to general obligation bond proceeds received in the current fiscal year and the significant increase in disbursements was largely due to an increase in expenditures in the Emergency Management Department for costs related to storm damage.
