The State Auditor’s Office recently released an agreed-upon procedures report for the City of Scranton.
State Auditor Rob Sand found 19 items related to the receipt and disbursement of taxpayer funds from the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2021. The findings addressed issues including the lack of segregation of duties, lack of bank and utility reconciliations, transfers not approved by resolution and lack of supervisory approval for timesheets. Solutions were offered to the city by Sand on these findings.
Of the 19 findings, 14 were repeated from the previous fiscal year. Click the link below to see the full report.
