The Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center baseball will graduate four seniors in the 2022 season but the program looks bright with the amount of youth and experience coming back next year.
Head Coach Taylor Morris says for how little the AC/GC school is, they will always count on underclassmen playing a role on his team. Morris says he felt like Andrew Mahaffey, Teagan Slaybaugh, Lance Bunde and countless others really stepped up as underclassmen.
“Andrew (Mahaffey)But it was good to see a step forward from all three of those guys, including a few, few other guys we have to that weren’t the Kinney boys and Jake Thomas was good to see those guys with their first varsity action that they’ve ever had. And they all they all took advantage of that opportunity, which is good to see, especially moving forward for next year. But definitely with Lance and Lance and Andrew on the mound.”
Morris says he will also look for the Freshman this year to step up as Sophmores next year.
