For the coming weeks, we’ll be looking at the statistics that players from both the West Central Valley softball and baseball teams were able to record during this previous season.

We’ll start with a player from the baseball team, sophomore Braylen Taylor. Taylor played and started in 25 games, recording 54 at bats, 11 runs, and 8 hits, which all ended up being singles. He also recorded 6 RBI’s, 5 walks, and 3 hits by pitches, along with 1 reach on error, 14 strikeouts, a .148 batting average, and a .258 on base percentage.

Taylor was also able to record one stolen base on one attempt, 25 assists, 28 put outs, and a fielding percentage of .815. On the pitching side of the statistics, he recorded 1.1 innings pitched, and an earned run average of 5.25.

From the softball team, we have incoming freshman Maren Hoffman, who played in 18 games, scoring 15 runs. Tune in tomorrow, when we go over the stats for two more players for the Wildcats.
