The New Guthrie County Law Enforcement Center’s completion date gets moved to an undetermined time.

Senior Superintendent of The Samuels Group Cody Lawrence has been overseeing the project and says that they have run into multiple supply chain issues. He says most of the delays have come from getting parts for the elevator and security system.

“Just a lot of unforeseen things we didn’t we didn’t see coming into it. Right now, some trades can’t even put timelines on when they’ll get stuff because the vendor won’t even give them a date. Just kind of another hurdle we came across. We’re just trying to take it as we get it, trying to get everything as close to functional as we can and then move on.”

Lawrence says there are still parts of the jail not completed and then they’ll have to get all employees up to speed on how the new technology will operate. He notes it’s hard to put a timeline on getting the Law Enforcement Center operational as of right now.
