ADM Tigers softball played in their final game of the season yesterday up at Fort Dodge, when they took on the Indianola Indians in 4A consolation round action. The Tigers struggled to score the softball for a second consecutive day as they were shutout in the game 3-0. ADM ends their year at 32-6 and Indianola concludes their year at 28-13.
The Tigers were only able to churn out four hits on the afternoon, as they were able to find a pair of hits from junior Tess Boorn. Aliya Yanga pitched five innings giving up no runs and striking out nine. Indianola was able to score all three runs in the seventh inning to take the victory.
The end was not what the Tigers were looking for, but they did accomplish a lot this season including win a conference championship, get high finishes at multiple weekend tournaments, be ranked number 1 for multiple weeks in 4A, and beat many teams across the state including teams currently playing in the tournament, and will hope to look back at all the accomplishments.
For the Tigers, they will be saying goodbye to three seniors in Olivia Tollari, Brynn Busta, and Callie Hazel. The Tigers will be returning a very good roster for next year, as they will be bringing back seven starters in their lineup and only have to replace one player in the field, as they will look to reload after a very successful 2022 campaign.
