Greene County will certainly have some starting pitching openings when the 2023 baseball season rolls around. Coach Matt Paulsen’s Rams went 8-15 during the recently completed season with graduated seniors accounting for starting on the mound in 19 of those 23 games.

Seniors Bryce Stalder had seven starts, with six by Joe Carey, and four from Kole Teeples. That trio accounted for six of the eight wins and two of the three saves the team accumulated. Junior Matthew Hovick had a 2-1 record with one save. Junior Brayden Roberts had two starts on the mound and freshman Isaac Carman had one.

Greene County’s team earned run average was 5.25 and none of the of the underclassmen that pitched varsity innings in 2022 had an ERA under 5.36.
