The Dallas County Board of Supervisors discussed a NBC/Universal Field of Dreams filming request at their regular meeting Tuesday.
The Board discussed the request that would allow for the Dallas County Courthouse to be in the background of some of the footage but took no action as the project has been put on hold. The Board then approved the final plat of Walnut Hills plat 2.
Also, the Board discussed a Cott Systems book scanning project quote that would try to protect and preserve three old books which include atlases of Dallas County and they would also be digitized for the public to access. The cost is approximately $2,700 to digitize and approximately $1,600-$3,200 to protect the physical book but the Board took no action as it was just a preliminary quote and the Board will further discuss the mater.
Finally, the Board discussed the potential cost for a hanging system for some of the old Bill Wagner materials the County has but took no action. The Board then finished the meeting with a secondary roads update to discuss work completed so far this construction season.
