The Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center Girls Basketball program held their annual three day basketball clinic and the participation was outstanding.
Head Coach Brad Baudler says that they had over 40 campers that showed up and they learned some fundamentals of the game like how to shoot, dribble and how to compete. Baudler says getting his current players to interact as leaders at the camp is very important to grow the game of basketball within the community.
“Young girls don’t care about me or the other coaches. They care about those players that are there. They look up to them. They watch them play on the basketball court. So those young girls, the high schoolers are like their world. So I always tell the high schoolers, I like, if you can make it be there, because that’s what makes the camp great.”
The camp ran from July 5-7th.
