The Perry and Adel Public libraries were recently recognized for their commitment to high quality services with an accreditation from the State Library of Iowa.  

The State Library of Iowa announced the libraries received accreditation as outlined in “In Service to Iowa: Public Library Standards Sixth Edition” which is valid through June 30th, 2025. Of Iowa’s 543 public libraries the Adel and Perry are among the 403 that are accredited. 

Libraries who are accredited are recognized for being responsive to their communities and for showing excellence in providing library services. Also, accredited libraries receive a higher rate of compensation through the State Library’s Enrich Iowa program.
