The West Central Valley School Board recently named Rusty Shockley as the full-time superintendent and he is excited to continue to work for the district.
Shockley was formally the co-superintendent with Anthony Lohse and the high school principal but now he will only have to focus on one job.
“I know the gig very well. Yeah, I mean, it’s just going to give us some more time and allow the person in the superintendent role to work more with the principals and more with just issues that arise throughout the district. You know, you’re not going to be spending a morning making 20 decisions. You can focus on a few more things deeper throughout the day.”
Shockley started as the full-time superintendent on July 1st. Former West Central Valley Co Superintendent Anthony Lohse has accepted the position of Assistant Principal at DeSoto Intermediate and the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Middle School.
