Many celebrate Fourth of July by cooking a lot of good food so it’s a good time to review some safety tips when using a grill.

Yale Fire Department Lieutenant Logan Wolfe has some safety reminders when using gas grills.

Don’t leave the lid closed if you’re trying to light a gas grill. It seems you always hear stories. People light it. It blows the lid open and then they lose their eyebrows. We don’t want any of that.”

Wolfe warns when using charcoal grills don’t use too much lighter fluid and don’t add fluid to coals that are already hot. For more information about grilling safety visit link below.
