For families looking to find a fun activity throughout the summer, there is an ongoing display at the Forest Park Museum in Perry looking back to the age of the dinosaurs.

The dino-bird display is running from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1-4 p.m. on weekends and holidays throughout  July and August. Dallas County Conservation Board Outreach Coordinator Sarah Gilchrist says the display is piggybacking off of the new “Jurassic Park” movie that was released earlier this year.

“Showing people the connection between dinosaurs and birds. There are a lot of displays there and pictures to show the connection and the similarities. So, that’s something if you are looking for something to do inside when it’s really hot outside that is going to be available.”

Gilchrist encourages people to go out and enjoy the display throughout the summer and there is no cost to visit the Forest Park Museum.
