After picking up a lot of wins in Little Hawkeye Conference action, DCG baseball went out of conference on Thursday night against North Polk, and got a record breaking performance from Clayton Campidilli, as he hit three home runs on the night, breaking the school record in the process in a 18-8 win. DCG baseball improves to 19-14 on the season.
Campidilli was able to reach 13 home runs on the season, as he shatters the record books with a major night, and was able to put up 9 RBIs in the process.
North Polk was able to put up six runs in the top of the first inning, but the Mustangs were able to settle in and chip away and take the lead, scoring 18 of the last 20 runs in the game.
DCG baseball will jump back into conference play tonight when they take on Oskaloosa, with a first pitch of 7:30 and the game to take place in Grimes.
