The high school baseball postseason starts tomorrow and Greene County and Panorama will meet at 5 p.m. at West Central Valley High School east of Stuart to begin Class 2A District play. Looking at records, the Panthers were 7-15 prior to playing Thursday at Ogden, while the Rams finished their regular season with a 7-14 record.

Panorama scores more runs per game on average, but the Rams give up a bit less per contest. The Panthers were at 5.5 runs scored and 8.5 allowed prior to playing at Ogden. The Rams average 4.5 runs per game and average giving up 7.8 runs. Greene County has been shut out five times while Panorama has been blanked just once.

Saturday’s game can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com with first pitch at 5 o’clock. The winner faces top ranked and defending State Champion Van Meter in Van Meter on July 5 at 7 p.m.
