Southeast Valley improved to 8-10 and Greene County fell to 7-13 on Tuesday night in non-conference high school baseball in Jefferson at Allensworth Field. The Jaguars won 6-3 on the strength of five runs in the third inning. SEV added a single run in the fourth. The Rams had runs in the first, fifth, and seventh innings.

Kole Teeples started on the mound for the Rams, going the first four innings, allowing all six runs, but only two were earned. Teeples had three strikeouts and two walks. Matthew Hovick pitched the last three innings with three hits, no runs, two walks, and two strikeouts.

Leading the hitting attack was Bryce Stalder with a triple, single, and double, plus one run batted in. Teeples had two base hits and Max Riley, Brayden Roberts, Joe Carey, and Gabe Ebersole each adding a single.

Nevada visits Greene County tonight on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com around 7:30 p.m. It’s the final Heart of Iowa Activities Conference and the last regular season game for the Rams.
