The West Central Valley School Board approved an incentive bonus for Industrial Technology in efforts to continue a valuable program. 

Superintendent Rusty Shockley says career and tech area education teachers are hard to come by and so it was an easy decision to give the High School Industrial Technology teacher David Doely an incentive bonus. 

“All of our career and tech areas are very, very important. Here in rural Iowa, it gives a lot of those kids that that aren’t into the core areas a different avenue to be successful.”

The Board approved Doely to receive four payments of $2,500 over the course of four years.
