
The Jefferson City Council will meet tomorrow night.
The Council will hold three public hearings and will consider approving resolutions for the plans and specifications for the Russell Street water main improvement and City Hall entrance improvement projects, along with the status of funded activities for the 200 East State Street project, following the hearings. Additionally, the Council will consider approving a grant for a new hangar at the Jefferson Municipal Airport, as well as a resolution to support a workforce housing tax incentive application to the Iowa Economic Development Authority.
The Council will also consider approving a plat of survey at 904 West Washington Street, waiving the right to review a plat of survey for another property within two miles of the city limits, a five year copier lease agreement, renewing an agreement for computer backup assist support, hiring a water service employee and the city administrator’s annual contract. Finally, the Council will consider for approval the first reading to amend two ordinances, including the provisions pertaining to the impounding and microchipping of dogs, as well as provisions pertaining to the fire department service fees.
