Perry and Greene County were weathered out of their first scheduled baseball meeting three weeks ago at Progressive Field, so the Blue Jays and Rams play a varsity doubleheader today in Jefferson at Allensworth Field just east of the Middle School starting at 5 p.m.

Perry has one Heart of Iowa Activities Conference victory and the Rams have three, so a doubleheader sweep by the Blue Jays would pull them even with Greene County in conference wins. South Hamilton (Jewell) is the only team both have victories over this season. The Blue Jays split a pair of one run games with the Hawks and the Rams won in Jewell 6-4 early in the season and were rained out of the return meeting.

KDLS 1310 AM/99.7 FM will broadcast game two of today’s doubleheader between Perry and Greene County with an approximately game time of 7:30 p.m. That could be sooner or later than 7:30 depending on the length of game one.
