Greene County baseball lost a Heart of Iowa Activities Conference game to West Marshall in State Center on Wednesday night by a final of 7-3. All of  the Rams’ runs came in the first inning while WM put five on the board in the third, one in the fourth, and one in the sixth. Coach Matt Paulsen’s team is 5-12 overall and 3-7 in the conference.

Senior Bryce Stalder went all six innings and he took the pitching loss. Stalder gave up three earned runs on 10 hits, three walks and one hit batter. He struck out six Trojans.

The Rams had seven hits with two singles from both senior Justin Stream and sophomore Gabe Ebersole. Stream had a run batted in. Senior Kole Teeples singled and drove in a run and juniors Dakota Mobley and Brayden Roberts each had a base hit.

The Rams are off until Monday when they host Perry in a doubleheader at Allensworth Field with game one at 5:15 p.m. and game two to follow.
