The Guthrie County Supervisors met Tuesday for their regular meeting.
The Board approved by a vote of 3 to 2 to approve drafting a declaration to make Panora and Stuart Emergency Medical Services an essential county service. Supervisors Michael Dickson and Clifford Carney voted no and told Raccoon Valley Radio there are too many questions left unanswered about how this will affect the county.
The Board also approved converting health services employee Jenny Jessen from part-time to full-time status with the pay rate of $22 an hour and a county farm fence improvement project.
Finally, the Board approved two abatement of delinquent property taxes at 101 Grand Street in Guthrie Center for $1,150 and 200 West Grant Street in Casey for $330, Lake Panorama National cigarette permit and reappointed Barry Chalant to the Veteran Affairs Commission.
