The Panorama Panthers Baseball and Softball teams have more West Central Activities Conference action at the plate today as they are heading to Madrid to take on the Tigers.
It’s another day of baseball and softball here in the 2022 season and the Panthers Baseball and Softball teams will have more at-bats today when they travel to Madrid to take on the Tigers in more regular season action as they will be looking to get a win over their conference opponent.
For the Panthers Baseball team there has been some solid pitching performances throughout the season so far which could be a factor tonight as Brice Taylor has a 1.54 ERA in 22 innings pitched and a pitch count of 333 with 23 strikeouts. Also, through 15 innings Austin Block has a 2.28 ERA with 1o strikeouts. The Panthers Baseball team will look for solid performances all around as they take on the Tigers today. Historically, this matchup is almost even as dating back to 2009 the Tigers have the advantage against the Panthers with a 13-11 record. Their most recent matchup was earlier this year which saw the Tigers win by a score of 5-0.
Panorama Panthers Softball will also be taking on the Tigers tonight in Madrid. The Panthers girls have made good contact with the bats this year as they currently have a batting average just under .300 at .279 as a team to go along with 74 hits and five homeruns on the year. Historically, the Tigers have gotten the better of the Panthers girls as dating back to 2008 the Tigers hold a 21-8 record against the Panthers, but in their most recent win a walk off grand slam from Jazmyn Sellers put the Panthers overtop of the Tigers by a score of 14-12.
Both the Panthers Baseball and Softball teams will be getting their second looks at the Madrid Tigers today when they head to Madrid this evening for more regular season action.
