This week of Greene County High School baseball and softball begins with the Rams at home in Jefferson on Monday vs. PCM (Monroe). The baseball is at Allensworth Field just east of the football field and the softball is at the City Diamond on E. Lincolnway.

The softball game can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com with first pitch set for 7:30 p.m. Monday. C0ach Tom Kennedy’s Rams are 7-9 overall and 4-6 in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference play after a 10-0 win in six innings at home on Friday night vs. Ogden in non-conference action. PCM won the first meeting this season with the Rams and stands at 9-9 on the season and 4-5 in the league.

Coach Matt Paulsen’s baseball Rams are 4-10 on the season and 3-5 in the conference after dropping both ends of a doubleheader at home on Thursday to Roland-Story (Story City). The Rams won the first meeting this season with PCM, but the Mustangs have a better record at eight wins and seven losses.
