The Panorama Panthers track and field season may be over but one athlete is still receiving post season recognitions from their successful season.
Sophomore Jaidyn Sellers had an extremely successful track and field season which saw her qualify for the Drake Relays as well as get the chance to run at the state track and field meet which resulted in her defending her Class 2A 100m and 200m dash titles from last year as the was the 2022 Class 2A State Champion in both this year.
After the season has concluded Sellers has been named to the 2022 Iowa Association of Track Coaches Track and Field Girl’s All-State Team in the 100m dash where she ran a 12.13 which was a state meet record and the 200m dash where she ran a 25.04 both earning her a state champion title. Sellers was also named to the Elite All-State team in both the 100m and 200m dashes as well.
While Sellers was able to take home first place at the 2022 state track and field meet and take awards home from the Iowa Association of Track Coaches she was also named on other consensus teams as she set personal and other records throughout the year as well and was regarded as a top runner in Class 2A all year.
In what was an extremely successful 2022 track and field season for Sellers she will look to defend her titles again next year in both the 1o0m and 200m dashes.
