The Guthrie Center City Council met Monday.

The Council approved a five year contract with R And S garbage with the dollar amount to be determined later and approved street repairs bids for a total of $50,000 for crack sealing and $28,000 for seal coat projects around the city.

The Council also approved a new public records request policy as presented along with an informal resolution between Michael Merritt and the City of Guthrie Center for a public record request that was not found and a proposal for insurance agent Becky Benton to move forward with the Iowa Municipal Workers’ Compensation Association renewal and they heard an update on the noise complaint on Jake Lake.
