Mother Nature once again got in the way of the Panorama Panthers from finishing out their games as severe weather made its way into the area as they were taking on the Woodward-Granger Hawks in Panora.

The Panthers Softball team made its way through the first game in their double header against the Hawks Tuesday night where they fell in a closely contested game by a score of 9-8. Head Coach Kylee Boettcher says the opportunity was there to get the win but the Panthers ultimately fell short. The second game against the Hawks Tuesday night was cut short by Mother Nature as in the top of the third inning the game was suspended with the Panthers girls on top by a score of 6-1. A make up day will be found and action will resume right where it left off during Tuesday’s game.

The Panorama Panthers Baseball team was looking to pick up their fourth win of the season against the Hawks Tuesday night and they were able to earn a victory over the Hawks by a final score of 7-6 as they improved their record to 4-8 on the year so far.

Today will be a nice rest day for both the Panorama Panthers Softball and Baseball teams as they do not have a game on the schedule for today but things will pick right back up tomorrow as they both have a double header scheduled against a fellow West Central Activities Conference foe in the Des Moines Christian Lions. Both the softball and baseball team will look to make a home stand against the Lions tomorrow as they come into Panora for a conference showdown.
