A recently completed project in downtown Jefferson continues to see improvements.
The Jefferson Garden Club recently donated $800 to purchase six planters that are located on the north end of Arch Alley, the north alleyway of the square. The planters match the other style of the other planters throughout the downtown area and the flowers and other plantings are also the same.
There are three black iron planters each on the west and east sides of the alleyway. The funds for the purchase came from the Garden Club’s Tour of Homes that was held in December. Garden Club President Shelly Berger says they look forward to continuing their Tour of Homes event and to further beautify the downtown area with their most recent purchase. She thanks the community for their support of their annual fundraiser that was brought back for the first time since the start of the pandemic this past winter.
