The Perry offense has certainly enjoyed a change of scenery in the summer of 2022 and will look to continue the trend tonight when the Jayettes travel to State Center for a 5:30 varsity game with West Marshall.  Perry is currently 6-6 on the season with one of their victories coming against West Marshall.  The Jayettes rallied in the bottom of the 7th inning to pull off the come from behind win against the Trojans on opening night.  Perry is having a lot more success in the Heart of Iowa compared to recent years in the ultra competitive Raccoon River conference.  The offensive numbers prove it.  The Jayettes are averaging nearly six more runs per game through the first 12 this year compared to last season as this time.  The addition of Emmalee Bell has certainly boosted the Perry power game along with veterans Lydia Olejniczak and Macy Killmer enjoying solid offensive campaigns.  Olejniczak leads the Heart of Iowa conference with 4 home runs while Bell is right behind her with 3.
