In a little over two months since its ribbon cutting, Heartland Bank has scheduled a public open house tomorrow.
The bank first located to Jefferson in February of 2020 at 200 East State Street in Jefferson. Business Development Officer Scott Weber talks about the move from where they were to where they are now in the Greene County Development Corporation West Business Park on Highway 4.
“Well as we were looking to move into the area there was no permanent locations. We searched around and found a temporary spot. We knew our goal was to have a permanent facility. As we looked around and was just, it only made sense to building out here along Highway 4 where there’s a lot of traffic and other buildings getting built out this way and we just thought it was a great fit for what we were trying to do.”
The grand opening is from 4-7pm tomorrow. The Greene County Cattlemen’s Association will be grilling burgers and Weber invites everyone to check out their new location. He adds they’ve not only more than doubled their square-footage at the new location, but they have added more employees.
“When we first originally opened up, there was just three of us. We’ve grown this business and we’re up to six employees now and we’re looking to grow even further. I feel like doubling our employees and doing all of that shows the support that we’ve received so far in town.”
Additionally during the open house there will be several giveaways including a pellet grill, a set of tires, auto detailing and other prizes. The event is free and open to the public.
