The Dallas County Board of Supervisors approved the abatement of mobile home taxes at their regular meeting Tuesday.
The abatement of taxes was for mobile homes that have been destroyed or moved out of the county and was in the amount of $460 and the Board also approved the abatement of real estate taxes for multiple properties in the county.
Then the Board approved the amended official depositories as they added J.P. Morgan Chase Bank which just opened a location in West Des Moines. The Board also chose to take no action on a quote for $23,345 for the Dallas County Law Enforcement Center irrigation system from T & T Sprinkler Service, Inc. and Cook Plumbing due to the project being able to be completed at any time.
The Board also heard a Secondary Roads update where County Engineer Al Miller talked about various projects being completed throughout the county including approximately 43 miles of reshaping of county roads. The Board also conducted a canvass of the recent primary election and received the post election audit certificate.
The meeting ended in a closed session to discuss the potential purchase of particular real estate.
