Greene County High School baseball has a light schedulehr this week in terms of the number of games scheduled, but certainly not light when it comes to importance. Coach Matt Paulsen’s team is at home Wednesday vs. South Hamilton (Jewell), then remains at home on Thursday for a doubleheader with Roland-Story (Story City). All three are Heart of Iowa Activities Conference games with KGRA planning on broadcasting game two vs. R-S around 7:30 p.m.
A 4-3 victory on Friday over Saydel (Des Moines) at Allensworth Field put the Rams at 3-3 in the conference and 4-8 overall. Winning two or three conference games this week could position the Rams for an upper division conference finish as the regular season winds down later this month. The Rams own a 6-4 victory at South Hamilton and have not yet played R-S.
