As the Bell Tower Festival is underway, tomorrow brings a full slate of activities.

The day begins with the Jefferson Fire Department’s fundraiser breakfast from 6-10am. The Jefferson Parks and Recreation will host its Ding Dong Dash run/walk at 8am, along with a pickleball tournament from 8am-3pm at Russell Park. The kids big wheel races takes place right before the Jefferson Rotary Parade from 9:30-10:30am and the parade starting at 11.

In the afternoon starting at 12:30pm will be reunion rendezvous of the different high school graduated classes, along with axe throwing, the brew station will open and there will be touch-a-truck and the carnival begins. JPRD’s 3-on-3 basketball tournament starts at 1pm at Russell Park, along with the car show at Junkyard Cafe and a juggler from Omaha, Nebraska will perform on Lincoln Way on the southside of the downtown square. Jefferson Matters: A Main Street and Chamber Community Events Team Chair Philip Heisterkamp talks about the new act.

“Peter Brunette is a very extreme juggler. He can do insane, crazy things with his hands, and his feet, and his body. So he’ll be juggler fire and knives, and doing a heck of a show for us on Lincoln Way.”

Following a two-hour round of trivia at the Sierra Community Theatre from 3-5pm will be live musical entertainment with Jessica McClintock performing on Lincoln Way from 5-8pm. Heisterkamp says before the final musical act will be a performance by a unique group.

“This Sabba Circle Fire Dancers, who will also be in the parade, are doing a dusk time, fire dancing, fire twirling, fire breathing, fire eating – as in like extinguishing on their tongue – they are going to do a show on Lincoln Way at 8:30(pm). I’m very excited for that.”

The closing band that is coming back to a second consecutive year is Dirt Road Divide at 9pm. Additionally, Raccoon Valley Radio’s Big Red Radio will also broadcast live from the festival tomorrow from 9am-6pm. Click the link below to see the full list of activities.
