The unofficial results are in from the June primary election that took place yesterday and here’s a look at some of the results from Dallas County races.

There were plenty of contested races in the primary election this year and for Iowa House District 28 Sonya Heitshusen won the Democratic primary with 71.75-percent votes compared to Tom Walton who received 28.14-percent.  David Young also won the republican primary for Iowa House District 28.

For Dallas County Treasurer, Mitch Hambleton won the Republican primary election getting 57.56-percent of the votes while Josh Chapman received 42.32-percent of the votes in Dallas County. There were 89 write-in votes for the Democratic primary for county treasurer.

The Dallas County Recorder Republican primary election was won by ReNae Arnold who garnered 53.95-percent of the votes with Peggy Ann Sieleman getting 45.90-percent of the votes in Dallas County. Benjamin Litton won the Democratic primary for county recorder as well.
