If you are out and about in the downtown square of Adel today, you will be able to see a variety of different vehicles for the Dallas County Sheriff’s Special Olympics All-Wheel Show.

The event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with judging taking place from 1-2 p.m. and the awards ceremony will be at 2:30 p.m.. The annual car show helps raise money for the Special Olympics of Iowa. Sheriff Chad Leonard is excited for the family-friendly event.

“It’s a great event, everything just around the square, beautiful courthouse, it’s around the courthouse, and we have to close down some of the side streets, the Adel Fire Department, they are doing all of the cooking for the event and they have for several years, and they do a phenomenal job and then we have an ice cream vendor that will be out there as well.”

The cost of registration is $25 for the first car and $10 for any additional car per owner. Also, Raccoon Valley Radio’s Little Big Red Radio will be on location from 10 a.m to noon playing music and providing public address announcements.
