adm-7

Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers softball needed a rally down two in the bottom of the seventh inning on Wednesday, and they were able to find it, with three runs in the frame which ended with a two run single from Cameron Smith to keep the Tigers undefeated at 8-0. The Tigers win by the score of 5-4.

The Tigers started the bottom of the seventh with a one out infield single from Brynn Busta, who then advanced to second after Aliya Yanga was intentionally walked. Kaylee Smith was able to come up and deliver a big RBI double of the fence in left center field to make it 4-3, setting up the stage for the big hit from Cameron Smith.

ADM was able to score twice in the second off an error from North Polk, but the Comets countered with two in the fourth  and sixth, looking like they were going to pull off a major win, but ADM was able to find an answer in the end. Yanga picks up the victory giving four runs on six hits while striking out ten.

This is the first walkoff win of the season for the Tigers, and the second straight game they win by one run.

ADM will have the day off today, before they get back to work tomorrow when they take the quick trip over to Van Meter to take on the Bulldogs.
