8:34am: An officer spoke to a dog owner in the 1000 Block of East Lincoln Way in reference to a complaint about a Barking Dog. The owner advised it is a new puppy and she took some suggestions from the officer on possible cures to the issue. The officer covered Animal Ordinances for the animal to be compliant, or possible future actions if it is not.
8:22am: Officers arrest a wanted subject in the 700 Block of South West Street. Eric Christopher Rosenow, 39 of Farlin, was taken into custody on an Active Hamilton County Arrest Warrant for “Fail to Appear.”
11:41am: An officer investigated a Backing Accident in the parking lot at 1000 West Lincoln Way Street. A 1998 Ford Explorer, owned and operated by Annette Coil of Jefferson, was backing from a parking spot and backed into a parked vehicle. The 2017 Toyota Rav 4 was owned by Marvin Krieger of Coon Rapids. The Coil vehicle had minor scrapes estimated at $100.00. The Krieger vehicle had a reported $1000.00 in damages.
12:17pm: Officers arrested a wanted female in the 200 Block of Gallop Road. Jessica Lea Duong, 30 of Jefferson had active Greene County Arrest Warrants for, “(2 Counts) Violation of a Protective Order – Simple.”
1:29pm: A caller advised of a Verbal Argument between two parties occurring outside at 306 West Lincoln Way Street. The officers spoke to all involved. The parties agreed to separate for the time being and allow things to cool down.
1:45pm: An officer spoke to a resident in the 700 Block of West State Street about a camper parked on the right- of- way. The camper was removed.
2:52pm: Robin Bonner spoke with an officer about options in dealing with a juvenile that was making poor decisions. The officer provided her some options.
3:43pm: Officers arrested a wanted female in the 200 Block of South Chestnut Street. Merissa Shawnay Olson, 33 of Jefferson had an outstanding Jefferson Police Department Arrest Warrant for, “ 1st Degree Harassment – Serious.”
5:29pm: Casey’s requested assistance at 508 North Elm Street with a customer who had fallen. After the subject was checked out by the GC Ambulance, the officer began his investigation, as he smelled the odor of alcohol emitting from the subject. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Michael Scott Richards, 60 of Jefferson for, “OWI 1st Offense- Serious and Public Intoxication – Simple.” He was also cited for, “Open Container/Driver – Simple.”
5:36pm: Chop Gibson reported a Stray Dog running near 220 th and Mulberry Streets. The officers were busy with the previous entry and requested assistance for a deputy. The deputy did not locate the reported animal.
8:50pm: A caller reported a Stray Dog in the 200 Block of North Maple Street. Officers searched the area, but did not locate the animal.
9:15pm: Allison Tucker reported loud yelling near the Jefferson Swimming Pool in the 700 Block of South Maple Street. The officer shut down in the area for several minutes, but did not hear anything in the area.
11:01pm: A Traffic Stop at Elm and Stanford Streets resulted in the arrest of Jamie Alan Gumm, 45 of Des Moines for, “Driving While Barred – Aggravated.”
