Jefferson adults looking for some entertainment this summer can participate in the Adult Summer Reading Program at the Jefferson Public Library.
Library Director Jane Millard says this year’s theme is “Oceans of Possibilities” as she describes the details of what participants can expect.
“Everyone will get a map to find treasure on the library shelves. We’re going to have a special guest who will tell us about Iowans who were on the Titanic. We’re going to have a beach party by one of our local ‘oceans’ and do some coastal island reading. There will be a drawing for prizes at the end of August. To participate in the Adult Summer Reading Program, participants only need to read one book each of those three months. It’s going to be a whale of a good time.”
There’s no cost to sign up for this program and registrations begin June 1st.
