The Panorama Panthers softball team took part in their first tournament of the season as they got to take on Grand View Christian and Manson-Northwest Webster on Saturday.

The Panorama Panthers girls softball team took part in their first tournament of the season on Saturday looking to pick up their first win of the season during their home tournament on Saturday but came away from the tournament with two losses.

During the first game the Panthers girls took on Grandview Christian where they lost by a score of 21-2. The Panthers girls were able to put up two runs in the first inning but Grandview had a strong first inning with twelve runs, then four runs in the second inning and five runs in the third inning saw the Panthers girls fall to 0-4 on the year.

The Panthers girls softball team was then able to take on Manson-Northwest Webster where the Panthers girls fell by a score of 15-7 as the Panthers girls were able to get runs across home plate in their second game of the tournament Saturday.

While the outcome wasn’t what they would have hoped coming out of the tournament with two losses there were positives to take away from the tournament as Ava Thompson and Bridgette Ewing were chosen for the all-tournament team after Saturday’s tournament.

The Panthers softball team will get to take the field again on Tuesday when they take on the Madrid Tigers beginning at 7 p.m. at home at Panorama High School.
