Just one game into this young season for the Adair-Casey/Guthrie Lady Charger softball team, Head Coach Eric Van Meter feels confident about his team.

ACGC lost in heartbreaking fashion in the bottom of 7th inning to Melcher-Dallas 4 to 3, a game they led for all of six innings. Coach Van Meter tells Raccoon Valley Radio his roster has some youth and expects his girls to development throughout the year.

“We’re young, we’re inexperienced. But the sophomores have all played together. We’re going to have a lot of sophomores playing a lot of varsity, and they’ve played together for a long time. I’ve been around that group for a long time, so I’m really comfortable with the girls, know their strengths, know their weaknesses. So I really hope we’re playing. I expect us to be playing our best ball by the end of the year. We might have a few rough patches.”

ACGC softball will on the road against Ogden and this game will be broadcasted live on Raccoonvalleyradio with pre game coverage 6:45pm and first pitch is thrown at 7pm.
