It’s Heart of Iowa softball and baseball tonight in Jewell vs. South Hamilton tonight for the Greene County Rams. The varsity baseball game will be broadcast on KG98 with coverage starting shortly after 7 and first pitch set for 7:30 p.m. The SH baseball and softball diamonds are side-by-side and fans are cautioned to be aware of foul balls landing on or near them from either diamond.

Coach Tom Kennedy’s softball Rams are 0-1 after Monday’s 3-2 loss to a good Saydel team. The Hawks dropped their Heart of Iowa opener on Monday to PCM by a 7-1 score.

In baseball, both teams are 0-1 in conference play. Overall, Coach Matt Paulsen’s Rams are 1-2 while SH is 0-3. Two of the Hawks’ losses are by a single run.

After multiple rainouts Tuesday and Wednesday, it appears the weather will cooperate today.
