Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers girls soccer played in Class 2A Region 2 semifinal action on a cold, rainy Tuesday evening in Adel against the Glenwood Rams, and they were able to get a major victory in overtime to continue their season by a score of 2-1. ADM improves to 10-7 on the season while Glenwood ends their 11-5.
Both of the teams were able to strike a goal in the first half, with the score tied at 1 after one half of play. In the second half, both teams were able to have opportunities, but neither could put one in the back of the net. In overtime, the Tigers were able to finally crack through with five minutes left in the frame, winning a great match against a tough team.
The Tigers will be able to see if they can make it back to the state tournament when they travel on Thursday to Council Bluffs – Lewis Central to take on the top seed Titans. The match will begin at 6 pm.
