The Jefferson City Council met Tuesday night in regular session.

The meeting started with a public hearing and approval of an amendment to the current fiscal year budget as presented, purchasing a three-story apartment building from owner John Copeland at 307 North Wilson Avenue for $5,000 and a resolution for bad debt write off of $18,902 from 2005. 

Additionally, the Council approved a resolution for an airport improvement grant application of $979,500 for a hangar approach and foundation and a jet fuel tank, purchasing a greens mower for $37,495 for the golf course using funding from a 2019 bond and a $13,700 mower for public works with funding from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Securities (CARES) Act funds from the federal government. They also appointed Adam Pedersen and Tom Yepsen to the library board of trustees.
