The Dallas County Board of Supervisors approved the abatement of mobile home taxes at their regular meeting Tuesday. 

The Board approved the abatement of mobile home taxes for mobile homes that have either been destroyed or moved out of the county. Also, the Board approved a courthouse body scanner purchase in the amount of approximately $42,000 from CEIA USA and Smiths Detection.

The Board also heard a broadband update discussing the broadband projects throughout Dallas County and their progress and a Dallas County Foundation grant awards update regarding the amount of funds that were given out this year.  

The Board also set a time and date of 9:30 a.m. June 7th for a public hearing for the first reading of proposed amendments to Chapter 45 Dallas County zoning ordinance. The Board also held an EMS Department workshop which included discussing new billings rates for EMS services and conducted a pay plan policy review.
