Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers boys golf participated in the two day state tournament in Ames at Veekner Golf Course, and the Tigers were able to put up a nice finish, grabbing a 3rd place mark to end the year. ADM was able to get a team score of 665 for +89 over the two days.
Sam Hlas was able to shoot +16 160 over his two days, good enough to tie for 7th overall. He fired off a 74 on Tuesday which was the third lowest round in the entire field. Easton Korell shot +17 over 161 during his two days, hitting an 81 on Tuesday to conclude a very good sophomore campaign. He tied for 10th. Finn Garton gets a +27 over 171 to get 24th overall. Lincoln Banwart ties for 34th with a score of +35 179, Grant Jansen shoots a +37 181 to get 40th, and Carter Madison shoots a +39 183 to round out the Tigers results.
Gilbert was able to win the team competition with a 633, and Solon was second with a 654. Waverly – Shell Rock’s Hogan Hansen was able to win with a 10 stroke victory, shooting a -5 139 in his two rounds.
For the Tigers, they will lose one senior in Sam Hlas who was able to put up a great campaign, but will be bringing back the rest of the team as they hope to find some great success in 2023.
