After taking some time off due to the coronavirus pandemic, a popular event for kids is returning this year as a kickoff to the Perry Public Library’s Summer Reading Program.
Kids Fest with the Perry Public Library will be taking place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 4th as it makes it return after taking some time off due to the coronavirus pandemic. Deputy Library Director Misty VonBehren says there will be plenty of activities for kids to take part in.
“We have got tons of activities, we are going to have a foam cannon, photo opportunity, balloon twister, animals, bubbles, different games and activities. We are going to have a dunk tank which I am going to be in the dunk tank so you can come and dunk Misty, the Perry Rotary is going to be doing mini golf.”
VonBehren tells Raccoon Valley Radio that people will also be able to visit the popcorn stand and get lunch which will be cooked and served by the Perry Volunteer Fire Department.
“We are really looking forward to bringing this back this summer and kicking it off with a big bang for our oceans of possibilities theme.”
