The Panorama Panthers boys soccer team has concluded their season after a battle on Thursday in the Class 1A Substate 8 bracket.
The Panthers boys soccer team headed to Stuart on Thursday to take on the West Central Valley Wildcats in the first round of Class 1A Substate 8 action and played the Wildcats extremely close throughout the match but ultimately fell by a score of 4-2 which ended their season.
The Panthers boys had faced off against the Wildcats once during the regular season where they lost by a score of 5-0 and were looking to avenge that loss in the first round of substate action. While the Wildcats were able to come away with the win, the Panthers boys soccer team played extremely well as they went into the second half down 3-0 but the Panthers came roaring back with two goals of their own in the second half and outscored the Wildcats 2-1 in the second frame but the strong first half from the Wildcats was enough to come away with the win.
With the loss the Panthers boys finished their season with an overall record of 4-10 and there were a lot of fresh faces on the field this year as the team included seven freshman who will look to be returning to the team next year with some experience under their belts.
The Panthers boys soccer team will look to get their season going again next year.
