The 2022 Greene County High School Senior Class will have its commencement ceremony tomorrow.
The senior awards night was this past Tuesday and Superintendent Tim Christensen shares his thoughts from that event.
“Just a great event to be able to recognize senior students with some awards but then also reward them with some scholarship opportunities. I think it’s also a great opportunity for community people who are handing out scholarships to share a little bit of information about their particular organization and why they are giving that scholarship or whatever. So it’s just a great night.”
Christensen points out graduation will take place at Linduska Field tomorrow at 2pm.
“We started that again, three years ago, two years ago with covid in order to socially distance. But people have liked that, students have liked that, so we’ll continue that.”
The guest speaker will be Doug Rieder. The original speaker, Nicole Peckumn has covid and won’t be able to attend. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved indoors at the high school auditorium. Those who can’t attend graduation in person can click the link below to watch it via livestream on the school district’s YouTube.
