Greene County High School golfer Joe Carey, a Paton-Churdan senior, shot 78 for 18 holes Monday at the Spencer Country Club during a Class 3A District Tournament. He missed qualifying for the State Tournament by two strokes. Ram Coach Heath Telleen told Raccoon Valley Radio that Carey played very well on a beautiful day.

Spencer, MOC-Floyd Valley, and Webster City were the teams that qualified for the State tournament.
