The high school boys’ soccer regular season is over for the Greene County Rams and the postseason begins on Thursday. Coach Carl Behne’s Rams improved to 9-4 on the season with a victory in Panora over Panorama by a score of 8-1 on Monday night. Two goals were scored by Brenner Gallagher and Jose Velazco with one apiece by Gesser Aguilar, Kolby Angell, Cody McCollom, and Chad Maston. Jack Hansen, Landon Carstens, and Velazco each had assists. On defense, goalkeeper Gabe Ebersole recorded seven saves.

The Rams host Chariton on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in Grand Junction in the opening round of Class 1A Substate play with the winner advancing to the semifinals on May 23 in Urbandale at Des Moines Christian School.
